A Special Seat for Steve
Daddy my hero, says Bindi in speech
In her first public appearance since her father's death, his daughter Bindi paid tribute to his work.
"My daddy was my hero and was always there for me when I needed him," she said.
She said he listened and taught her many things but most of all he was "fun".
She said she knew her father had an important job: "He was working to change the world so everyone would love wildlife like he did.
"I don't want daddy's passion to ever end. I want to help endangered wildlife just like he did, I had the best daddy in the whole world and I will miss him every day.
"When I see a crocodile I will always think of him and I know that daddy made this zoo so that everyone could come and learn to love all the animals.
"Daddy made this place his whole life, now it's our turn to help daddy."

Family pleased with Irwin memorial
Bob Irwin says Steve's widow Terri was not ready to speak publicly but was proud of her eight-year-old daughter Bindi for delivering a touching tribute to her father.
"Terri was very pleased, firstly because that's where Steve would have wanted it held," he said.
"And because John [Stainton] had done such a great job putting it all together and the people involved obviously loved Steve."

A tribute to Steve Irwin
PERMISSION notes from parents will be required before schools let primary-age children watch tomorrow's memorial service for Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin.
This is because of fears his death has been so traumatic for thousands of children that it could be too upsetting for them to watch the service.
Irwin charity braces for donations
A memorial service will be held for him tomorrow at Australia Zoo's Crocoseum on the Sunshine Coast and will be broadcast live across Australia and overseas.

Irwin News Decay
Instead I'll leave us all with some advice:
Don't buy anything Steve related unless you get it directly from Wildlife Warriors or Australia Zoo. Fan support Cafe Press shirts and things are probably ok, but know they are really nothing but fan art.
Don't donate any money to ANY memorial site, or support site other than Wildlife Warriors. Even the Australia Zoo directs all donations to the Wildlife Warriors regarding Steve Irwin.
Anything else is a scam or opportunistic leeching. Please avoid that at all costs.
In the mean time, I will keep an eye out for good and positive articles, and any information that can help further the cause. Steve would do it, and so will I. Take care guys!
